Now is the time for you to seriously think about investing in the stair chair lift. You are older and your body is not as limber as it used to be. Although you might feel young inside you have to admit that your body seems to feel otherwise on the outside. It seems that it is always trying to trip you up and keep you from the activities that you used to love to do at one point in your life. If you are living alone than you are going to need something that will help to make life a little bit easier on you and your body.

There are several types of stair chair lift models that you will be able to invest in. I could go through the different models and who makes them, but that could take forever and we simply do not have the time for that. Instead I am going to catch you up on some need to know information on the TYPE of models that are out there. There are three basic types of lifts you will get; straight, curved, and outdoor.

The straight stair lifts are the most basic of models and they are also the more affordable. If you have a staircase that does not bend or twist in any way then this is going to be the one to purchase. These are simple enough to put together that you might be able to get your son over to do it for you and save you some money. The good news is that these do come in refurbished models that will help to save you a TON of money.

The next model that you can get is the curved stair chair lifts. These are designed strictly for people who have stair cases that bend and twist. These have to be completely custom made. Someone from the company you buy from will have to come out and take precise measurements so they know when the track should curve and when it should be straight. The downside to this is that these are expensive and you cannot get them refurbished. It is too difficult to find someone who has the same layout as you do.

The last model to consider is the outdoor model. This is for those of you that have a large deck outside your home. You need a way to be able to navigate those steps without the fear of slipping and falling down when it rains or snows. These are built to endure that kind of weather with their tough parts. These often do not have a long track so the most expensive piece will be the actual chair.
