Systematically Cleaning The Bathroom

Growing up we were taught to do our chores because it was our contribution to the family. Obviously it was impossible for us to go to work and no one wanted to taste our cooking at the age of ten. So instead we helped out by washing the clothes, vacuuming the floors, and cleaning the bathrooms. The bathrooms were the worst of all the jobs and the ones that we tried to get out of the most. Being the youngest I usually got stuck doing that bit of work. Luckily I managed to work out a fool proof system of cleaning it so that I never had to back track and rewash or wipe something down twice.

Sink

The first thing that I did was to take everything off the sink and to wipe it down from top to bottom. Naturally I started at the top by doing the mirror and then worked my way down to the cabinet. When you do it in this way you never have to worry about dust falling down on something that you just finished cleaning.

Toilet

Next I moved onto the toilet. This was the worst part of it all so I made sure not to linger and to get it done as quickly as possible. To see that it would happen that way I would pour in toilet bowl cleaner while I was cleaning the sink. That way it would sit in there for a few minutes and it would have a greater effect at removing the stains and dirt.

Bathtub

The bathtub took the longest because of its size, but it was fairly easy to clean, as long as I kept up on it. Cleaning bathtubs simply requires that you wipe everything down so that mold, mildew, and scum do not get on it and get stuck in between all the cracks. If that happens then you have a much bigger job on your hands.

Floor

The last part is the floor. When doing this part I made sure to sweep all of the dust up before washing it down. I made sure to get on my hands and knees so that I could reach every crook and cranny. By the time I was finished the whole thing looked amazing.
