In 1913, a striking event took place and made a mark into Ford Motor Company's history. It was when they introduced and implemented the use of the moving assembly line. This new technique gave workers the liberty to stay in a single place and execute a series of similar tasks repeatedly on a number of cars that passed their position. This method proved to be efficient in the production methods and helped them contend against competitors and capture the market with affordable vehicles.

On 1903, they began to produce cars with the names of the 19 first most letters from the English alphabet. In 1908, they introduced the model T. They produced more T's the next 19 years which made the company a huge industrial company that was beginning to conquer the world of automobiles. In 1952, They purchased the Lincoln Motor Company which paved way for the production of luxury cars.

The Ford Motor Company spanned the globe as it opened and established a production branch in Europe in 1967. They started operating in North America in 1971.

Ford is one of my favorite car manufacturers, I don't own one now but have had many models in the past, including Escorts (one was an XR3i), Fiesta, Cortina and the good old Capri. Lots of fun and very reliable. I have also studied Henry Fords history as part of a design and innovation course I once did so you have stirred a few memories for me. Nice Hub.
